Viola Tosh

Rehabilitation and support coordinator

Viola Tosh
Viola is a rehabilitation and support coordinator at CFG and has extensive experience working as a registered Social Worker. Viola qualified as a Social Worker in 2012 and has worked in a variety of teams and roles bringing extensive knowledge and skills underpinned with professionalism, leadership, values and ethics.

Viola has worked within NHS hospitals, integrated disability teams, community review teams and multi-disciplinary teams, often liaising with Rehabilitation Consultants, Occupation Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Rehabilitation Coordinators and the wider treating team to assist with the care planning process. Viola recognises the importance of working collaboratively and cooperatively with both internal and external colleagues and often liaises with different support organisations, including the NHS, social care, housing authorities and charities. A key area of Viola's practice is to signpost the patient and their families in the right direction when the information required, or skill set is outside of her scope of practice.

Viola has experience working in a Neurological Complex Rehabilitation Unit, providing support for people following a brain injury and other neurological conditions. Her work involved undertaking comprehensive assessments, addressing and managing risk, sourcing appropriate and cost-effective care and support packages, and discharge planning either to another hospital, care setting or home environments. In her role at the unit, Viola always strived to reduce any anxieties her patients and their families may have been feeling about the situation, current care plan or long term needs.

Viola continues to undertake professional development in a variety of key areas including Relationships in Practice, Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding Individuals and Mental Health and Wellbeing.
