As part of our service, we look to support and help clients not only with their legal claim but to ensure we help with their everyday needs such as equipment, assistance with benefits advice, adaptations and access to treatment.
In a recent case example, we helped secure funding for a much-needed mobility scooter for our client to improve her mobility and independence following a serious injury.
Our client, Miss F was a rear seat passenger when she sadly suffered serious injuries in a car accident. She sustained severe pelvic and spinal injuries which have reduced her mobility considerably. Miss F is currently studying at university and due to her mobility problems, she was struggling to attend her course.
To help improve her independence and overall well-being, our Client Support Manager, Marloes Molinger, researched and investigated funding options for a mobility scooter. As a result, Marloes found the DTD Charity and submitted an application along with a supportive letter to explain the importance of a scooter to enable Miss F to mobilise longer distances independently. DTD is a fantastic charity based in the East and West Midlands and provides funding for severely disabled people to help gain access to equipment and services to improve their quality of life.
Our client’s application was successful and a mobility scooter has now been purchased.
Marloes Molinger commented, “I want to thank DTD Charity for accepting our client’s application for funding and for helping her in living more independently. Charities such as this are so important to help people to gain access to equipment and support that are often not funded through statutory services. I am pleased to have been able to have helped and guide Miss F through the successful application to improve her quality of life and well-being.”
At CFG Law, our priority is to help with our client’s needs to improve their physical and mental well-being. We can help access funding for a variety of support services to assist in everyday life, helping with overall recovery and independence after a serious injury. Our Client Support Managers are a valuable part of the team to help establish our clients’ needs and explore all avenues of providing the relevant support, rehabilitation, treatment and access to funding at the earliest possible opportunity.
We work holistically, considering all areas of needs to ensure a full bespoke support package is in place for our clients from the outset of their case.
