We have recently held a ‘Ladies Night Off’ event for those working in serious injury, as a charity fundraiser for BASIC, the Brain and Spinal Injury Centre based in Salford.
The event, held at our Cheadle based offices welcomed over 50 ladies who work closely with seriously injured people, to enjoy an evening of informal networking and some well-deserved treats.
Most importantly, we had invited ladies to gather together to raise vital funds for BASIC (the Brain and Spinal Injury Centre) holding a charity raffle in their aid. BASIC offer patients who have suffered serious head and spinal injuries expert support and rehabilitation, helping them to regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Wendy Edge, CEO of BASIC who attended the event said, “A big thank you to CFG Law for hosting a lovely sociable evening. We are delighted with the donation raised through the raffle which will go towards supporting those recovering from brain and spinal injury in the local area."
The charity raffle saw a fabulous array of prizes, including a break in a Welsh castle, a Hot Diamonds necklace, designer handbag and John Lewis gift vouchers, to name just a few. All prizes were donated by suppliers who work with CFG Law, including Haines Watts Chartered Accountants, Exchange Chambers, Boss Direct, Linetime, Dragonfly, WMG (Web Marketing Group), North West Digital, Working IT Solutions Ltd, Giraffe Office Supplies and Kings Chambers.
Sabrina McCarron, a serious injury solicitor at CFG Law commented, “We were delighted with the turnout for the event. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to raise funds for a fantastic charity and meet up with colleagues working in serious injury. As a firm, we are keen to build links with like-minded professionals who embrace our ethos of putting clients’ needs at the heart of everything we do.”
