CFG Law were busy donning red noses, deeley boppers and t-shirts to help raise money for Red Nose Day 2017 on Friday. Colleagues at CFG Law took part in a fundraising dress down day, as well as providing raffle prizes, home-made cakes and an array of treats to help raise money for this worthy cause.
This year, Red Nose Day has raised over £73m so far, and with further sponsorships and money raised still being donated, it should be another record-breaking year.
Red Nose Day supports many issues here in the UK and also in Africa. The work they support is simply invaluable. In the UK for example, they fund more than 2,000 projects, addressing problems such as homelessness, domestic violence and mental health and also work to protect vulnerable young people.
Last year alone, Red Nose Day also helped 11.7 million people in Africa to gain access to much-needed immunisation, protection against malaria and help to education. This money makes such a difference to these people’s lives, and without our help, they may not live to see another year.
CFG Law, with a matched donation from the company, raised a fantastic £436.30 on the day for this great cause. We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the day and dug deep to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
At CFG Law, all colleagues have the opportunity to nominate a charity close to their heart and hold a fundraising day on site. Over the last year, we have raised money for The Mustard Tree, Save the Children, Children in Need, Breast Cancer Now and Stoke Mandeville Spinal Research for example to help both local and national causes.
Our purpose is to make a positive difference in everything we do, helping both clients and their families and charities through our company fundraising.
